Game of Thrones is a huge fandom with a giant bunch of fan theories that we love and adore. We recently got a brand new PepsiCo advertisement starring Peter Dinklage, who plays the role of Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, who endorsed Doritos Blaze, a fiery new flavour. Some of the crazier fans took this to be a signal to the ‘Tyrion is a secret Targaryen’ theory, and Dinklage recently commented on the same. Read on!
The advertisement literally showed Dinklage spit fire, and fans got really excited over it :
At long last, thanks to A Song of Ice and Doritos Blaze, we have proof that Tyrion is in fact a Targaryenpic.twitter.com/TyXQ2QnJT0

In an interview with Huffington Post, Dinklage talked about the fan theory that got a new life because of this commercial:
“I love every single theory the fans of our show have, because they’re so much fun. They get to show the dedication and love they have for the show, but you have to understand that it is a Doritos commercial.
It’s not ‘Game of Thrones.’ So [fans] are sort of stretching the limit with that theory when you’re branching out to Frito-Lay commercials. But I say that with all love and respect. Please, I love them. I love the fan theories that they have until the show is finally over.”
He also discussed the making of the advertisement and how he screwed up takes just so that he could have another Dorito, and how it was to film it. When asked if he thought he won the rap battle, he said:
“Oh, I think I did, all due respect … but I believe I did. I had the harder job. Busta Rhymes is the fastest rapper in the known universe. No disrespect to Missy Elliott, but I believe Morgan had the easier job. So I think I won, all due respect.”
He was also asked how it was to rap against Morgan Freeman:
“What was it like rapping against God?
I wasn’t going to go easy on him just because I have love and respect for the man. You can’t.”
What do you think about the theory? Could Tyrion actually be a secret Targaryen? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
