The photo shows Maisie sporting long wavy brunette locks but still maintaining Arya’s tomboy edge with unclean Dr Marten boots and mud-splattered clothing. She looks prepared for action sat atop the bonnet of a tattered truck in the first look at the venture.

Two Weeks To Live follows a young girl whose mother brought up her disconnected from the rest of the world and trained her survival methods after the death of her father.

But when Kim gets in touch with other people, things go awry when she meets two blokes at a pub and winds up going on the run with them, run after by a gang of precarious gangsters and the police. The series, which will debut on Sky One next year, is made up of six half-hour episodes.

The official summary reads: “Kim is no ordinary fish out of water – she’s more like a great white shark who knows how to strip a Smith & Wesson SDVE pistol in 6 seconds flat and skin a deer to make a sleeping bag whilst perfectly reciting the lyrics to ‘I Will Survive.’ With her in their team, they might all just get out of this alive.”
