New fan theory says Sansa Stark will rule Westeros in Game of Thrones season 8

Going into the final season of Game of Thrones, fans surely know one thing: No one is safe. And although Tyrion, Jon, Daenerys, Cersei, Arya, and practically every other main character is on the chopping block, fans noticed that one character has set herself in an exceptionally secure position.

One Reddit user posted this week explaining how Sansa seems to be the safest person in Westeros right now:

After everything she went through, who has a stronger network of support than Sansa? She has Brienne sworn to protect her who is an absolute unit, Arya the faceless man, Jon who is one of the best fighters in the show now, the eyrie, knowledge from the 3 eyed raven, and the North who is loyal to the starks.

Not only that but she is not in a position such as Jon or Dany where she would have a target on her back or be at immediate risk

It’s true that, following the demise of Littlefinger in Season Seven, there is no immediate threat to Sansa right now. Cersei is focused at the moment on destroying the alliance of Daenerys and Jon Snow.

If the humans are able to survive the White Walker threat, then Sansa wouldn’t be in any immediate danger.

What’s fascinating, when looking at the history of death on Game of Thrones, is that it’s all the time the vocal leaders who are in the most danger. When he defied Joffrey, Ned Stark was beheaded.

As he was gaining power in the war, Robb was killed along with his closest companions. When Stannis tried to seize the throne—yep, he ended up dead, along with his sibling.

It’s the people on the sidelines, though, who manage to survive through all of it. Varys has had a fruitful profession changing alliances and staying in the shadows. Littlefinger did the similar thing—before he got too overconfident.

Now, here we find Sansa entering a same situation at the side of her sibling. She hasn’t assumed power, but she remains a influential mentor who is touting her power out of the focus. It definitely appears like she learned a thing or two from all that time with Petyr Baelish.

And when all the dust from this war settles, it seems like she might have the suitable network to stay alive and claim the Iron Throne.
